About the Artist

Linda Periera Hansen is an emerging artist who began painting a little over a year ago, in her seventies with no formal training. What started as a pull towards an art hobby has become a steady practice. Working in acrylic and mixed media, Linda works in layers. Her process is intuitive and intentional: color and texture build up layer by layer. Colors and shapes can peek out and become part of the whole. Linda invites viewers to look closely, for what is and what is not showing through. Her work has been shown in a local gallery in a juried show earlier this year. She continues to grow through ongoing coursework.
